Action Research Thoughts

Action research is a process by which administrators or teachers examine their educational practices and techniques carefully. Action Research is examining data and research to find ways to improve instruction and increase student achievement through their analysis and conclusions. Action research can be conducted individually or by teams of colleagues. It is a self assessment and reflection of ones strategies and techniques and their effectiveness. Action research gives educators new opportunities to reflect on and assess their teachings, to explore and test new ideas, and to assess how effective these new approaches are. I think they lead to positive changes in one's growth as a professional. It also provides opportunities for collaboration with colleagues and the opportunity to learn from your peers through different experiences within the school environment. Educators should always strive to be the best and provide innovative strategies and technique to be effective in teaching today's students. There is always room to grow professionally and continue to be a life-long learner through action research. I believe it's important to reflect on your strategies and stay on top of today's ever-changing society. I believe I can use action research as an administrator to be an effective leader and to help create the best learning enviroment possible. It's important to create and allow time to reflect daily on how to improve not only as an administrator but as the leader of a school district or campus. To have the ability to solve educational problems, to help educators reflect on their own practices, and to address school- wide problems.

Educational leaders can use blogs as a tool for communicating and sharing effective strategies to influence and introduce new and innovative strategies in the educational setting. Blogging creates collaboration among colleagues and discussion from peers to promote professional growth. I think blogs influence critical thinking, classroom management, and motivation to educational leaders to use in the schools. It is an effective tool in today's world to share ideas and to learn from one another.
